Data Engineer (Contract)

Location: England Country: UK Rate: £250 - £300 per day
 

Data Engineer - Freelance - Initial 12 month contract - Working for leading software company

We're looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our client's team. You'll be responsible for enriching, managing, and ensuring the quality of our data, with a focus on efficient query writing. You'll also enforce data governance policies, develop documentation, and partner with other data teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data collection on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of how data flows within the business.
  • Partner with data teams across the organization.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues.
  • Develop workflows, processes, and documentation for data governance.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in big data analytics, database management, or a similar analyst role.
  • 3+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and another object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience with big data platforms like Cloudera, Azure, or Snowflake.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design impactful data models.
  • Experience with analytics dashboards (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
