Job Summary: As an AWS Networking Specialist, you will be a part of a dynamic team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the networking infrastructure within the AWS ecosystem. Your role will involve IP address management, DNS resolution, domain name delegation, NTP services, and core networking tasks to ensure efficient and secure operations of our cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:

IP Address Allocation:
- Manage IP address allocation, reservation policies, and utilization within AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IP address-related issues.

DNS Resolution:
- Configure and optimize DNS services within AWS.
- Ensure the availability and security of DNS records for domains.

Domain Name Delegation:
- Handle domain name delegation for AWS-hosted domains.
- Update DNS records and ensure proper domain name resolution.

NTP Service (Cloud only):
- Implement and manage cloud-based Network Time Protocol services.
- Monitor NTP services to maintain accurate and synchronized timekeeping.

Core Networking:
- Design and maintain AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
- Manage VPNs and implement network segmentation and access controls.

Development & Maintenance:
- Manage and perform maintenance on cloud-based network services.
- Develop and implement new features as required.

Skills and Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in AWS networking services like Cloud WAN, Transit Gateways, and Route 53.
- In-depth knowledge of IP Addressing, subnetting, and routing.
- Expertise in DNS and domain name administration.
- Familiarity with cloud-based NTP solutions.
- Proficiency in core networking concepts, including VPC design and security.
- Implement and maintain IAC using Terraform via GitHub Actions.

Collaboration & Design:
- Collaborate with product families to design and deploy new capabilities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot to identify and resolve service issues proactively.

Optimization & Cost Management:
- Review and optimize cloud resource costs for efficient utilization.

Documentation & Control:
- Create and maintain documentation for services, including how-to guides.
- Manage infrastructure code using version control systems like GitHub.

Continuous Learning & Improvement:
- Stay informed on AWS services, features, and cloud technologies.
- Resolve incidents and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- AWS Certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Scripting in Python and using Terraform for IAC.
- Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Work Environment: This position may require on-call availability and may necessitate occasional travel. The AWS Networking Specialist should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and be committed to achieving operational excellence and innovation.
