An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well known organisation in the public sector, famed for it's culture and work/life balance.The new Lead Software Engineer will work across the whole of the Digital and Innovation portfolio, supporting activity across core IT and technology, customer and digital.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Implement software development standards and practice for the organisation
- Build and maintain CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions
- Ensure requirements are correctly captured via user stories and gherkin acceptance criteria, using Jira to manage workflow
- Ensure that all software you build, maintain and run meets user needs.
- Lead and develop a team of 6 direct reports
- Develop new services, working in multidisciplinary product teams.
- Prototype code in the early stages of development, pairing with designers and researchers.
- Continuously release code throughout the product life cycle.
- Conduct reviews of user stories and code, as well as taking part in reviews of your work and leading reviews of your teammates' work
- Work in agile ways within multidisciplinary teams; take user stories from writing to production; bake quality assurance into every story; take an active approach to working down technical debt
Skills Required:
- Expertise in Dynamics 365 CRM (CS Module)
- Azure
- C#/.NET
- Experience in Lead position.
- Excellent Stakeholder management skills
